Gottman Relationship Checkup (Cost for 2 people)

Gottman Relationship Checkup Assessment

Time: (1-2 hours) - Not necessary to do all at once

Each person will recieve an email log-in code for their assessment.

The Gottman Relationship Checkup Assessment is based on 40 years of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman who developed a proven method for evaluating a committed intimate relationship.

The Gottman Couples Checkup Assessment can help pinpoint what causes the relationship trouble spots as well as the strengths that hold you together. This comprehensive assessment is geared towards all stages of relationships, whether new relationship, premarital or marital.

The Gottman Relationship Checkup Assessment consists of 480 questions about friendship, intimacy, emotions, conflict, values, and trust, as well as parenting, housework, finances, individual areas of concern, and more.

Developed from over 40 years of research, this relationship assessment relies on intensive, detailed, and evidence- based information on why relationships succeed or fail.

The Gottman Relationship Checkup Assessment is comprised of five sections:

  • Friendship and Intimacy: relationship satisfaction, emotional connection, romance, and admiration
  • The Safety Scales: trust, chaos, commitment, and emotional philosophies
  • The Conflict Scales: stress, relationship harshness, and conflict management
  • The Shared Meaning System: shared rituals, values, and goals
  • Individual Areas of Concern: individual issues, safety, sex, depression, drug and alcohol use, violence, anxiety, and other issues that may need psychological or psychiatric help

The questionnaire takes approximately two hours to complete. You can take a break any time by logging out and back in, returning to where you left off. When both you and your partner have completed the questionnaire, your therapist receives the results. They can then review it with you and provide actionable recommendations for therapy.
